A few weeks ago my daughter, Sunshine, shared another work of art with me that left me breathless.

Who Am I?  Do I Truly Mater?  My Life does Matter!    My internal response:   

"You are the Light of the World.  You Matter! And yes, Your life Matters!"

Join us for an important gathering to support healing in our commUNITY surrounding racial injustice. 3 events in 1 will include a breakfast for local activist and community organizations; a community art project/activity; followed by a vigil for justice. We Matter CommUNITY! 

With an intention to create a peaceful commUNITY event in a safe and loving environment for people to express through art and signs their feelings, (frustrations, anger, sadness), and vision surrounding racial injustice.

• (10am-12)  CommUNITY Activist Breakfast for community organization leaders and activist. RSVP to iamfreedomsdrum@gmail.com   Catering food, tables, and service donations welcome.

• (1-6)  Our Voices Matter CommUNITY Art Gathering.   Participants will have the opportunity to create art and signs that express what they feel.  Art supplies, tables, chairs, and donations welcome and/or BYO.

• (7-9pm)  CommUNITY Vigil for Racial Justice. At the end of the evening we will hold space in a peaceful candlelight vigil honoring commUNITY activist, victims and survivors of racial injustice and police brutality.  Candle donations welcome and/or BYO.
